Gate Measurements

Gate Height: ft. *

Gate height is measured from the surface of the pad to the top of the fineal/gate top.

Gate Length: ft. -or- Driveway Width ft. - At least one value is required. *

Gate length is measured from the face of the bolster to the face of the bolster and considered to be the "clear opening."

Reversing Devices:

UL-325 Requires the use of a secondary Reversing Device.

LOOPS AND DETECTORS (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BUT NOT A UL 325 REQUIREMENT):

  • Reversing - Detects a vehicle and reverses the gate.
  • Free Exit - Automatically opens a gate upon exiting. NOT recommended for mini storage facilities.

Note: Typically the inside loop can be used as a Reversing or Free Exit. If Reversing and a Free Exit are required, the Free Exit will be place farther back on the inside of the property. In either situation, (2) Detectors are required if you are using BOTH Reversing and Free Exit.

Note: Free Exit devices are not recommended for secured site applications.
