Woman Allegedly Led Police on a SUV Chase through Salisbury, N.C.’s West End and Smashed though Livingstone’s Rear Iron Gate

Faye Collins Evans, 50, from Logan Lane in Winston-Salem, allegedly led Salisbury Police on a high-speed SUV chase through Salisbury’s West End and smashed though Livingstone College’s rear iron gate before fleeing across campus.
Salisbury Police, at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday, pulled over a 2011 Kia Sorrento SUV at Brenner and Overman Avenues after officers noted the vehicle’s headlights were not turned on. The officer asked to see Evan’s license and registration. She claimed she misplaced her license, but had her registration. While checking her registration, the officer learned Evans had outstanding warrants for her arrest in Forsyth County. When the officer informed Evans about her status, she abruptly put her SUV in gear and sped off.
Traveling at high-speeds, the fleeing SUV turned the West End Landscape into a blur past Lloyd Street, Old West Innis, and onto Institute Avenue where she smashed though Livingstone College’s rear iron gate and roared across the campus to Wilson Road, then onto Torrence Street. All the while with the Police in pursuit.
